Brian Vance is a Chicago-based fine artist who has been painting, sculpting and making art for over 15 years. The artist is celebrated for his signature painting color exploration and texture techniques, depositing and removing color to create substantial depth and movement​. He is also revered for his kinetic metal mobiles, each shape cut and manipulated by hand, then suspended with precision. His wooden tables, benches and accessories are unique and entirely created from American-sourced materials.

A Michigan native, Vance is inspired by the natural world, the beauty of his home state, the architecture of his adopted city of Chicago and his travels and experiences. Often, his work plays off of other pieces he has made, seeing threads of inspiration from canvas to wood to metal.
